Hi, I’m Katie - your queer, Fall Out Boy loving, bolognese obsessed boudoir photographer

I’ve spent the majority of the last 10 years watching brilliant women criticize themselves in the mirror during my career as a wedding photographer, and it broke my heart.

I started to wonder: what if I created a space where women could see themselves through eyes of love instead of criticism? And what if we borrowed the body celebration from Renaissance art—when curves and soft bellies were literally painted as divine—but reimagined it entirely through the female gaze?

Enter: The Renaissance Room

A Boston-based Boudoir studio born from watching incredible women shrink themselves and apologize for existing - it was born from pure frustration with a world that profits from your self-doubt.

I'm here to be your personal myth-buster, your confidence coach, and your biggest champion. Together, we're going to create art that makes Michelangelo jealous and gives the Mona Lisa some serious competition.

Because the world needs more art, and you ARE art.

I’VE BEEN EXACTLY

I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and see a problem instead of a person. I know the exhaustion of spending years trying to shrink yourself, fix yourself, perfect yourself into someone "worthy" of love.

For nearly three decades, I was trapped in the same cycle that brings women to my door:

→Believing my worth was tied to a number on a scale

→Listening to that “inner critic” that finds flaws where beauty lives

→Spending more energy hating my body than loving my life

I tried everything to hate myself into happiness. Spoiler alert: it doesn't work. You can't criticize yourself into confidence or shame yourself into self-love.

It wasn’t until I stepped in front of a camera for my own boudoir session 5 years ago that something shifted for me that no amount of therapy or positive thinking could accomplish on their own. For the first time, I SAW myself in those images—really saw myself—as beautiful.

Not "beautiful despite my flaws." Just beautiful. Period.
